Back in December 2011, Acorn Stairlifts donated two stairlifts to Chernihivsky's Children Home in the Ukraine. Upon hearing that many of the children at the home had never received a gift in their lives a shoebox appeal was launched.
Acorn Staff in the Steeton office rallied round the office to fill as many shoeboxes as possible. The presents were then sent off to Ukraine in time for Christmas. Here are a few of the joyous faces of the Ukrainian children opening their presents.
Olga, who works at the Ukrainian Chernihivsky's Children Home, had this to say:
