Lord Mayor of London On The Acorn Stairlift
Acorn's export growth has been excellent

During a tour of Acorn Stairlifts' manufacturing facility at Steeton on 23 January, the Lord Mayor of London, David Wootton saw for himself a demonstration of the company's unique FastTrack system for installing stairlifts rapidly on non-standard, curved staircase.

"Acorn's export growth has been excellent," said the Lord Mayor, "Manufacturing is one of the key industries to help bring the UK out of the recession and to hear and see how Acorn is exporting stairlifts to 66 different countries each year from its UK operation is to be applauded. I was especially impressed by the unique way that they can install stairlifts on non-standard staircases within 24 hours of receiving a customer's order. This demonstrates just what can be achieved with the right product offering, expertise and business foresight. Acorn should be recognised and applauded for its contribution to the country's economic growth during the current difficult trading climate."
