When Mrs Overall makes a dramatic entrance in a number of forthcoming amateur productions of Victoria Wood's Acorn Antiques the Musical, it is no surprise that it will be on an Acorn Stairlift.
Victoria Wood has personally changed the words of one of the songs to sing about the Acorn Stairlift being used.
Acorn is one of the largest suppliers of stairlifts in the world. This has allowed us to offer a free stair lift
"We were first approached by an amateur group near Manchester asking to borrow a stairlift. Since then, we have offered our stairlifts to every other group producing the musical, from Glasgow down to Brighton" said Company Secretary Dave Belmont. "We were delighted that Victoria Wood personally changed the words of one of her songs for us."
It is generating quite a bit of interest in the entertainments sections of regional newspapers - it isn't often they receive a press release from a stairlift company.
The next performance of Acorn Antiques the Musical is at the Church Hill Theatre, Edinburgh from 13 to 18 February.
