A young man no longer relies on his sister to climb the stairs, thanks to a "God-sent" stairlift.
Ali Asghar, 30 from Oldham in Manchester, has lived with cerebral palsy for most of his life. However a rapid deterioration in his condition left his body too weak to climb the stairs and so his sister, Rehana Kouser, stepped in to help.
"It got to the stage where I was lifting Ali's feet up every step and was unable to support his upper body. Trying to help him up the stairs was a very long and stressful process," explained Rehana.
"I had read about Acorn Stairlifts a few years ago and kept the information as I thought it would be useful for Ali in the future and I was right. I made the enquiry and found the whole process really easy with helpful staff along the way."
"The stairlift has made a wonderful difference to our lives. It has given Ali his freedom back and me the security that he was able to safely use the stairs. A huge stress has been taken out of our lives and we are truly grateful." Rehana added.
