More confidence than ever in opting for Acorn

12:00am | & News

Customers choosing to invest in an Acorn Stairlift now have more pre-purchase confidence than ever before in the quality of product and service they will receive from the British business.

As well as customer testimonials featured in its own marketing materials, Acorn earned independent endorsement through the ‘Which? Trusted Traders’ scheme and gained a coveted five-star rating on leading online customer review site ‘Trustpilot’.

Both of these give potential stairlift buyers extra peace of mind in choosing Acorn, firstly through endorsement by Britain’s leading consumer advisor, ‘Which?’, and secondly by browsing the positive experiences of other buyers shared on ‘Trustpilot’.

Acorn has long recognised the value of satisfied customers spreading the message of how an Acorn Stairlift has improved their lives, but as Acorn’s head of marketing Simon Webster explained: “In this day and age, savvy customers seek independent reviews and endorsements by trusted consumer advisors before choosing where to invest their hard-earned money, especially for an important purchase like a stairlift.

“We already know our stairlifts are a premium product, but we shouldn’t expect our customers to simply take our word for it without seeking independent confirmation elsewhere. That’s why trusted consumer organisations like ‘Which?’ and high-profile review sites like ‘Trustpilot’ are so important.”

Acorn was already accredited under the Government-endorsed ‘Trustmark’ programme and a member of the respected ‘Trading Standards Buy-With-Confidence’ scheme, as well as being a member of industry body the British Healthcare Trades Association. Adding new endorsements from Which? and Trustpilot – both nationally recognised marques – further strengthens the reassurance that stairlift buyers feel when choosing Acorn.

Becoming a Which? Trusted Trader meant completing a thorough assessment process covering all aspects of best practice in business and excellence in customer service. Only when Which? is fully satisfied that a business meets its tough criteria does it reward that business with its prestigious ‘Trusted Trader’ status.

Similarly, achieving five-star status on Trustpilot requires an ongoing commitment to excellent customer service. As Simon Webster explained: “Trustpilot is a very public conversation between a company and its customers. We monitor the site constantly, taking time to thank customers for posting their positive reviews, but also making sure we react appropriately on the rare occasion we receive a less-than-favourable comment.

“It inspires confidence that not only are the vast majority of our customers fully satisfied, but if something does go wrong we’re there to quickly put it right. That’s been the case since Acorn started in business 26 years ago, but Trustpilot gives us a ‘shop window’ to demonstrate it to a new generation of customers who can easily research suppliers like never before.”
